Home Swapping Stats is our quarterly set of figures on the largest home swapping Clubs, outside the luxury tier (for that, see Sturgeon Stats). Every figure below is published by the Club itself or reported by the press, with its source.

Other ways to rank them
By homes
Fewer Clubs publish a home count than a member count. These do, on their own sites:
Kindred's count may include homes in its partner circles. The rest give no home count of their own, or their own pages disagree.
By tier
Our tiers group Clubs by members: Dolphins from 100,000, Turtles from 10,000, Minnows from 1,000.
Dolphin: HomeExchange, Kindred
Turtle: ThirdHome, Intervac, Homeforswap, People Like Us, Elite Alliance
Minnow: HomeSwap, Swaphouse, HomeLink
Method
Figures are the latest published totals. Member definitions vary by Club (registered members, active or paid members, member households, co-owners) and are taken as published. Homes are never substituted for members, except Swaphouse*, estimated at about one member per home.
Ranked by members, one measure throughout, so no Club is ranked on a different count from the next.
Outside the luxury tier: the luxury Clubs, including ThirdHome Reserve, are in Sturgeon Stats.
Figures are as published in October 2026, for the Q3 2026 edition.
Questions
What is the largest home swapping Club?
By members, HomeExchange, with 300,000+ active members. Kindred is close behind at ~300,000.
How many members does Kindred have?
About 300,000, from its February 2026 funding announcement. Kindred does not say how many are active.
Why rank by members rather than homes?
Clubs publish member counts more readily than home counts, and the counts mean the same thing more often. Homes are given below as a second way to rank them.
Which home swapping Clubs are the oldest?
Intervac and HomeLink, both founded in 1953. Seven of the ten were founded before 2020; the newest, HomeSwap, in 2025.
Is ThirdHome a luxury Club?
Its main club is not. ThirdHome runs a separate luxury tier, Reserve, which is ranked in Sturgeon Stats, our figures on the luxury Clubs.
